I have been painting recently in oil and cold wax, and find the medium expresses my love for nature, and experiences of being in the woods, and hiking or traveling in different seasons. Feeling the cold of winter, watching clouds form on tops of the mountains, observing cracks in the rocks and the many shapes of trees, seem to appear in my paintings, which lean toward the abstract. I paint to bring peace to my soul and thankfulness for the beauty of nature around me.
