Barbara Aycock

My grandmother sewed for my mother and her two sisters.

My mother sewed for my sister and me.

I sewed for my children Eleanor and Lewis.

A needle and thread feel quite comfortable in my hands as I stitch books and bags, small quilts, eco printing and dyeing, Shibori to dye and Sashiko to patch and mend.

No formal training in school or college:  art classes were for artists.  Many workshops and classes have inspired me to find my way with fiber and fabric, paste paper painting and book making.  Even exploring color with potholders brings me delight!
